07-01-2017 - A better man [Jan. 16th, 2017|09:11 am]

It was a well kept secret for the past 3 months. We had fun surprising friends and family during a private party. Most had anticipated a proposal but ended up being witnesses to our ceremony. There were smiles, tears, laughter and I'm still flushing from the well wishes.

Belief is a reflection of one's self interest [Oct. 5th, 2016|12:09 pm]

As demostrated by the US presidential debate, upheavel of the referendums in UK, EU, and the rising power of the incendiary political leaders across the globe.... it is increasing clear that the belief in the greater good is a mere mirage painted in childrens' storybook...
Indeed it feels too familiar as chapters to history to yet another global reset unfolding....

While I was sorting out my itinerary for Shanghai ......I found difficulty to pen down specific things to go, to eat and to see based on my fragmented memory of the city. It is afterall a long time ago since I last visited and then a thought struck me.

With the proliferation of social media and its existence being part and parcel of life to faciliate exchange information......have anyone come across any social media site or mobile apps that allows one to dynamically package restuarants, clubs, theatres, movies or night out deals and be presented with a single rate? Or something that tells you what your options are if you only have a 100 dollars to spend on a thursday night based on preference in your profiling?

I know there are a million apps or sites that tell you every tom, dick, harry's good, bad, excellent experiences in places to go, things to do and how much to pay but its too time exhausting and I dont even think we have the patience to read comments beyond the first page these days.

With the profiling of an individual user, it makes sense to have targetted outlets and establishments. What I'm just thinking is to use technology to reverse that process and present users with the nightout option (like a package tour) that is quick to facilitate, manage and meet expectations for those wanting to have a good nightout in a foreign land.......Instead of looking and reading thru bazillion of reviews, tell me what my options are with my budget and what are they.....Im not speaking for highly sophiscated individual who wants the one and only night out experience but speaking on behalf of lazy asses like me who wants it easy.

Anyone came across something of that sort?

Private screening at NYC. Great arthouse fans movie.
Shot in black and white. Morbid display of mortality and morality
Probably will not pass MDA so scour for it if you can~

No.. im not in europe. Its syracuse in upstate new york. One of the collegetown around Ithaca.
Its about an hour and half drive from my town and my friends decided that we should catch the state fair before it closes for the season.

The fair itself reminds me of a gigantic funfair. I swear I've packed a few extra pound from the event itself.  Finding something that isnt heavily sweeten or deep fried was such a challenge so I just gave in :D

Went bar hopping with my friends and was the only one again having trouble with bartenders serving me alcoholic drinks. Same problem back in Ithaca. Its not like I want to pretend im all 18 again but it is such a chore having to bring my passport just to have a drink. They dont even accept IC for some weird reason
 -_-"

On our way back, we drove thru the wine trails of the cayuga lake. There's probably 30-40 vineyards along the stretch that runs through the highway besides the lake. It was a lovely day with the perfect sun with ocean blue skies for the otherwise lousy summer we had so far. Wine in general are relatively cheap here ...roughly 8-10 dollars with a slight premium for vintage.  It was a perfect excuse for grabbing a couple of bottle of wine with some help and not to forget the preserves from the local harvest which are irresistably yummy...

So one of my housemate from hell girlfriend is visiting him for 2 weeks which I am totally cool. I figured with her presence  the guys would be neatier. The stains in the tub are no longer visible and dishes are cleaned and they even borrowed a vaccum from one of their brethens in the neighbourhood to clear up all their smoking ashes.

Just when I think how happy I could enjoy this short live moment, it shattered to pieces 4 days ago when the couple started to quarrel almost everyday afternoon and at night. Even with my door closed and itunes blasted, I could still hear muffled voices shouting at each other and door slamming actions and whenever I experienced that, I will wake abruptly the next morning by the voices of their moaning and bedframe wall knocking noises. I kid you not.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
